P.S. This caddy is from Pottery Barn along with the “Bambi”mug and “Fred” the snowman mug. The 2 tiny snowman mugs on the top tier are from Sur la Table. I have this caddy parked next to our Jura Espresso machine and it was so fun to be able to make a special cup of coffee for friends who stopped in for a visit. It was created to be a wonderful, peaceful environment for large family gatherings. You will see an amazing collection of sconces throughout the home that were saved from Opera Houses and Grand Theatres from around the world. This home is a wonderful and peaceful retreat.

I almost didn’t post this photo because if you see in the green magazine holder on the left, there is a baseball man sticking out. This summer home tour 2018 could not be more simple. I have wanted to soak up as much of summer as we can while still working and having the kids home all summer. It hasn’t been easy, but I knew the house decor had to be easy and not fussy. Summer means I have been hunting at yard sales and have new things I want to add to the decor.

A fun beaded pillow continues the seaside theme in the living area. We selected a cool blue and white color palette in this space. I’ve been stalking every store around for mini white pumpkins for weeks and I finally found some last weekend. I spotted them outside a local farmer’s market as my husband and I were driving by and I nearly jumped out of the moving car. Here’s a closer look at the mantel.

At each house place your street shoes in the shoe/tote bag. You may use house slippers inside the houses. The first tree that you see here is our live tree.

As you read this I am on the road moving my eldest from our home in Fort Worth to her new job in Nashville. Upon my return, I will swallow my tears and begin to transform her upstairs suite into a glorious craft room. Mr. Decor will be installing much-needed carpet in all the bedrooms.
Seaside Mantel
🙂 Pinning if Pinterest will allow. I started decorating outside with these hydrangeas. I found this bucket at a flea market over the summer and thought it was just perfect to display what’s left of my hydrangeas. I paid over $20 for that old bucket which I thought was too much at the time (or maybe I’m just cheap) but I’m glad I did.
Another little pumpkin vignette and a seasonal pillow. I wish I could make these last the whole season, they are so beautiful. I was very excited when I found the velvet pumpkins at Target dollar spot. After ten minutes of trying to decide which colors to get, my daughter had to drag me away.
On the other side of the living room, I took everything out of the wood basket from Kirklands and added three of my vintage scales to it. I think the quilts alone add so many fun colors for summer. Hi everyone, my name is Corey, and I have a problem. I can’t leave well enough alone… The best therapy usually involves a variety of power tools.
Your home is so beautiful and cozy! We had real trees for 8 years, lived at my moms over last Christmas and she has a fake one. We bought a fake one at Costco this year and I will never go back! We have a fluffy rug in our living room and the last thing I needed was needles in it.

I used fresh eucalyptus, faux hydrangea stems and my mini white pumpkins from last year. I elevated them with these vintage cupcake stands to give them some height. The dining room got a little summer makeover as well. The “gather” sign from Small Woods Signs was the perfect size and was exactly what I was looking for in this space.
I’m pretty sure the wreath will stay up through most of the winter months too because of my love for all things eucalyptus. Laura, I love your summer house tour. Your cool summer colors and seaside theme is delightful. I enjoyed seeing your bathroom refresh and remodel again. That is the best picture of you and your dog in front of your beautiful roses!

Amazingly enough, I didn’t purchase anything new for this tour I just reused existing accessories in a new way. A good example is the curly willow branches last seen as a fall centerpiece. Previous summer tours can be seen HERE and HERE. With such a packed schedule planned I wanted clean and cool vignettes that are easy to care for in our open plan entry, living and dining areas. The summer season is going to be just as busy.
